Formed in the first lockdown, the Conservative Union Research Unit (CURU) counts more than eighty back-bench Conservative MPs in its membership, all committed to strengthening the Union.
CURU provides research and briefings to its members on issues of relevance and helps build arguments for strengthening the union. An Advisory Board of senior members of both Houses, chaired by Andrea Leadsom, advises CURU on how to best to achieve its objectives.
CURU provides support to its members in the form of briefings on the passage of legislation through parliament, detailed background research, and information on any other matters/events of relevance. It provides members with well researched information, facts and statistics that can be reliably used in parliamentary debate or for responding to constituents.
