Dr James Davies is the Member of Parliament for the Vale of Clwyd, following re-election in 2019. James was born and raised in North Wales and represented Prestatyn as a local councillor for 11 years before being elected as the Member of Parliament for the Vale of Clwyd between 2015 and 2017.
In March 2020, James was elected to the Health and Social Care Select Committee. As a serving GP, practising in NE Wales and W Cheshire, he has a particular interest in the NHS and health policy more widely. In addition, James is Chair of the Mersey Dee North Wales All-Party Parliamentary Group, working closely with cross-border organisations including the Mersey Dee Alliance and Growth Track 360 to secure regional funding for energy and transport infrastructure.
